I recently did a Google search for Jim Menicocci, an old Seabee buddy from the early 80's. The only thing that came back was a reunion roster, it listed Jim as deceased. I saddened to read that and wonder if anyone can give me any information on what happened to him. We spent some quality time together on the island of Antigua back in 1984 and I've thought about him often. We had some great times and spent nearly every waking hour together. Unfortunately that was the last time I saw him as the Navy shipped ud to other parts of the world. It was only recently that I found a document that had the correct spelling of his last name which prompted the search. Anything anyone can tell me about Jim will be very much appreciated. First, ROZ - Great Job!!!!! Had a blast and hope everyone else did, too. Second; what are you thinking of calling me to task for not being a "greeter"? I did the desk at the back entrance aaaaaaaaalllllllll night. That was where all the way cool people that didn't want to be hassled by the paparazzi went in. See you in The Enquirer.... LOSER!!! Third; Renee Theriault goosed me. Thanks Renee. Good to see you, too.

Roz & Crew, Everything was GREAT! Music didn't seem to bother me - I guess I'm use to it loud - with 3 teens in the house. I wish we had a bit more time....11pm came to fast - I remember the 20th lasting until 12:30 and Lenny kicking us out. With a booze cruise you might be in the same boat...less time and harder to mingle from deck to deck (just my opinion). I'd really like for us to concentrate on getting some of the classmates that haven never attended a reunion. It's been 25 years since I've seen Chris Linberg, Jamie Crawford, Rich Curcuru, Chris Noble, Dan Murdock to name a few! If you are out there - we want to see you at the next reunion!

The website is great but it makes it difficult to "stalk" someone (no email addresses or phone numbers). You post - you get a response. I got seven emails this morning. One each from Nellie, Donna, and Karen, as well as four emails to buy Viagra at rock bottom prices. Yeah baby!

JAY, that's a great idea about the booze cruise. the concensus is that the night went too fast. we all want to spend more time together. we are proud to announce that the donations are continuing to pour in.. to keep the website alive, and for classmates in need. today, an nnonymous donor has pledged to send $100. to the class of 81, every christmas, for the remainder of his/her life-to the 'classmates in need' fund. diane alba raised $170. for the fund with the 50/50 raffle. thanks for giving up your night for the cause di! KEEP VOTING...are we ready for a full homecoming weekend or one event per year? would you pay for a picture book? how about A ROCK and ROLL BOOZE CRUISE? ...since julie imbrunone sponsored our event we should book it with her. jimmy melanson just contacted us, he is willing to play at one of our gigs. check his band out on myspace.com/popgunboston or visit dodge st. in salem on 9/23/06. REGISTRATION.. the website was launched last january to take the place of the printed booklet. this website is a phenomonal tool. we broke from expensive print costs for a product with low participation. the website is interactive with global and 24 hour-ongoing access. the majority of our classmates cringe over filling out those print book forms for various reasons. the committee always has to work too hard to get that information. the website also allows classmates to post only information they feel comfortable sharing. everyone has their comfort level with filling out those directory questions. however jaye, all email entries are on a master directory, (behind the scenes of the website) and roz can email blast those that have posted. UPDATE YOUR ADDRESSES... lisa oneil smith has committed to continuing on in as the coordinator of the master directory. lisa, roz and linda cross reference what is mailed in, and what is emailed in. a triple check and balance! LET"S KEEP THINKING OUT OF THE BOX...Jay, perhaps we could enlist your services for a chronological picture book? bob rodgers slide- show was well recieved and we have been asked to post it to the website. that is something we can do at no additional cost. classmates that could not attend the 25th, especially are interested in seeing it. SEND PICTURES... classmates want to see a compulation of their pictures and would probably purchase this in a book form. the reunion crew had several requests for access to old yearbooks. most classmates can't find theirs and some of our classmates have yearbooks that go back to grade school. those are documented, we also want the personal photos. that is the heart and soul of this project. stay tuned for the launching by 9/15/06.

michelle, i'm deaf myself from that projector booth at the cinema. i did ask the dj to turn it down a few notches but officer mcdonald told him to turn it up, and keep it up. operative word being "officer", so he obliged the law man. we actually had requested to put the dj in a different spot, to make more room for conversation-away from the speakers, but we were not accomodated by the establishment on that one. thank you for your constructive criticism, it's greatly appreciated.

Roz, Thanks so much for a wonderful time at the reunion. I think I am really getting old as it took me a long time to recognize some people! Thank goodness I was next to Anne most of the time and she knows everyone. I would like to make a suggestion for the next reunion and that is to have more time without the music, The DJ was great, but I would have liked to be able to talk to people in a more quiet environment, at least in the early evening. (I am getting old). Anyway, it was obvious all the work you and your committee put into the evening. Thanks again. Michelle

So, Matt Muniz--where the heck are you?? Playing hockey with Robert Gordon in Canada or something? Or lost in Bearskin Neck?! You need to get there on Saturday. After all, Jay Greely's coming all the way from Florida!! We need you to help our East Gloucester representation!! We all know there is a huge Magnolia gang going to be there!! the search committee is still working diligently during these last final days to ensure all classmates know about the reunion. this is always an ongoing collaboration amongst all classmates. in other words, were all part of the reunion crew, always! this process has been a phenomonal network of people working together. please visit the class list rsvp page of this website. if you happen to know the whereabouts of a classmate, please contact us, or that classmate. also, if the classmate is on the fence about attending, remind them of how good of a time that everyone had at the 20th. the 20th was well attended and everyone said they were glad they went, and ... couldn't wait for the next one. there's alot to be said for that! thank you for your participation and support.

where is jerry mccarthy? i'm being asked from the st. ann's clan to the magnolia gang! all i know is that boy was twice as tall as me from first grade on! ger, monica was planning on attending but will be away on a family vacation the same week as the reunion. however, greg salah has promised me, for the 5th reunion in a row, - to make an unbelievable entrance! it's 'the exit' i'm much more concerned with!!!!!!!!! janie budrow, dean salah, chris fav and others will be going. do you ever hear from michael fury? his name came up twice as we were looking through grades school class pictures. so i'm asking around. i'm sure if you've noticed that most of the magnolia gang is on the search committee. generally their too busy to find you because of their summer tournament. they're doing very well this season. even ohara, on the disabled list, still takes one or two marguaritas for the team! we wish john a quick recovery! seriously, it's been a pleasure to work with everyone and hope we can enlist all classmates to search. check out the class list and contact us.

Hey everyone, Sorry we are going on and on about our old gang. We are reminiscing but we don't mean to exclude anyone. We are looking forward to seeing EVERYONE! (One last comment-FYI Todd- I am now the Director of an Outpatient Drug and Alcohol Program-all that training did me some good!) In all seriousness, we have all mellowed out but it is fun to think about those days. We were all pretty good kids, but as Linda asked, wonder if our kids are doing what we did. Hope not, Linda! I am hoping that some of the people who didn't come the last reunion will come. Hoping to catch up with some old friends: Marcia Mione, Maria Virgilio, Betsy Juncker, Sandy MacDonald, Lisa Marino, Jimmy Milone-to name a few. It was so great to see so my of the old Thespians last reunion. By the way guys, I got this amazing letter from Web who made a contribution to my clinic after 9/11 to support the work we were doing. I pulled out the yearbook recently. What a scream. We really thought we looked pretty good. My daughter asked, "What's with the big hair? Mom!" Hey anyone know where Bozo is? Timmy Burns? Dusty Rhodes? Gary Rust??

Special thanks to Debbie Smith for throwing a great graduation party for her youngest child. Saw Lisa O'Niell-Smith, John Pratt-Murray, Heidi Call-Aiello (who has a kid the spittin' image of her aunt Linda) Patty Welch-Muise-Welch and many others. I love this whole name building stuff. Danny will have to change his name to Danny Shatford-Herrmann-O'Hara-Philpott if he writes any more entries. Donna, I wouldn't trust any of your memories of the Charlie's Angels skit. If I remember correctly, we started drinking that day at 7am at my house...not that there is anything wrong with that...

Well it's about time Demetri!!! In your heyday you would have pounced all over me with phone calls immediately ending with a beer poured over my head!!! I guess some of us have slowed down. Anyway I always say you Lynne and Lisa always missed the point of the no head incident. We actually did not get arrested because I had no head!!!! When the last time you read in the paper that a person with no head got arrested?

Whats all of this Magnolia and Drinking Team trash I see hittin these pages. I'm thinking there should be some kind of "Octoberfest" theme to the reunion. Danny, my knee acts up everytime I listen to BTO, do you think you can fix it for me? Somebody better keep an eye on Todd, this forum has a chance of getting out of control... Remember... Go Easy.... You've got to.

Hey Rik, You are not going to believe this but I actually found the purple crushed velvet halter top dress of my mother's that Danny wore as a Charlie's Angel when we cleaned out my mother's things!!! I have it and would be happy to bring it for him. What do you say Danny? The funniest thing about those outfits was Gerry's boots! His feet were so big that he cut off the front of them so the "go-go" boots would fit. If anyone forgets what they looked like, it is in the yearbook. D

Hey Danny, My name isn't officially hyphenated. Demetri is now my middle name. My patients call me Dr. Donna, my colleagues call me Donna DF, my students call me Professor Friedman, half the time I don't know who I am. Old friends call me D or D squared. But most of the time, I'm just-Sophia's mom. So call me whatever you like. I am still the same Donna Demetri who drove you crazy!! Looking forward to having some fun at the reunion!!

Hey Danny, Do you remember the night we were in Lynne's blue station wagon down at the high school and the cops pulled up after you had a bit too much of the beer ball? I think you pulled your hood over your head and said "they can't arrest me, I don't have a head"!! That was one of my funniest memories of high school. Donna

Michelle join Rich and I in wearing buttons with our eigth grade picture. I'll make them any color and design to match your attire. You see Herm will be filling out the 2 X 3 white tags but that is only to keep him occupied during the nite. We actually won't be wearing them. Kind of like when I go to restaurant with Danny and they give him a coloring book so he stops fidgeting

Well, well, well, I thought you had said you were bringing beach balls to my house, not beer balls! I guess that explains why Lisa walked through the screen door....or was it Dan.....no, he most definately was playing the fine organ music! Hey, Rich, or Mr. Baez, maybe we could get a repeat performance by Liberace and you and Alma can show us your ballroom dancing. And yes, you made a fine choice with Mrs. Baez! It is only fitting you take her name! Looking forward to see you all, of couse starting at the preparty!

Danny, I'm sure it is not something that gentlemen consider but, I doubt Donna is planning on wearing a name tag. I certainly am not! I am not going to spend a week choosing my outfit and the perfect accesories to impress people I haven't seen in 25 years and will not see for another five, only to slap on a 2x3 white sticker. Unless I wear white and it matches!!

Debbie I have already been volunteered by Dr. Friedman for pre-party. She volunteered me 5 minutes after our last reunion. But since you are so eager and willing to volunteer I'm gonna let you and Linda set up the pre-party so you can practice for the bigger and better post party. To start you may want to ask Lisa and Lynne where they buried two beer balls 25 years ago on grandpa hill. They were always thinking about the future. Again thanks ladies for all your unselfish help!!!

All this talk of beer balls brings back many fond memories.... Westie's pond, Lynne's screen door, etc. I'd like to suggest that the role of "greeter" be filled by the former Charlies Angels - Danny S, Gerry M, and Jay G - in full garb. Gerry, surely you held onto that snazzy leopard skin ensemble - shoes, hat, and purse! As for the spirit award, Opie and Rich, you have my vote!

richie, rich... besides a serenade, there's nothing more romantic than a guy who can sweep his bride off her feet! although i'm a 40's afficionado myself, the chosen theme is 70's / early 80's (see voting results on the voting page). most classmates are die hard rockers. perhaps you can campaign to host a formal for the 30th? we can put it on the polling page. nevertheless, we must oblige your request in some form or fashion... we would be honored to have mr. and mrs. baez cut a rug to something like... "nights in white satin" ballroom-style. are you up for that challenge? i'm sure dj tony d will hook you up. no doubt. we look forward to your performance. as a dancer, you might appreciate that tony and i have been talking with a few disco king and queens from our class about disco and the hustle lessons before the big night. can you see the next reunion crew meeting? held somewhere like the ole' timers (dj tony's regualar gig where his apprentice is jon and marylin pratt's son). classmates will be bumping into one another as the instructing cheerleaders try to keep up with their own two left feet- because they just drank the magnolia and west gloucester drinking teams under the table. of course the agenda never gets addressed, classmates pittle out by 9:30 because they can't hang on a week night, and start yawning uncrontrollably. were just not a strong saturday night fever group either - any night of the week!

Linda just go with it. Lisa said and I quote "No Cost is too big You Only Live Once!" I just booked 30 rooms on the Back Shore and six stretch limos at her expense . What a trooper she is!!! Yes Roz it is a guy thing. We must and need to be recognized. To go along with this I think Steve Jackson should be recognized as last man standing at our last reunion. He refused to let the night end!!!!

no thank you...dan, your the man. thanks for the heads up. any further assistance with coaching todd to the front line is greatly appreciated by the reunion crew. sometimes it take a village. this one is called... magnolia! and todd will be "the magnolia project". can you keep us posted? on another subject, (from one leader to another with the inside scoop)... do you think we should get plaques or framed certificates to honor john and richie's request as most school spirited back-in-the-day. really, think about the basketball team alone... what would it have been like without them? hmmm - they're argument is a good one. do you think they would settle for most spirited classmates on reunion nite? somehow, i feel as though one of the magnolia bro's is going to have the most spirit(s) in them that night! yes, all of the ladies you mentioned are the best! the ladies have been great supporters of all of our class reunions over the past twenty five years. thanks for pointing that out. these gals give altruistically of themselves. they don't need no stinken award for all they've done. is that a guy thing?

Great idea Rich - if more men were as subservient as you the world would be a much better place - (however, as I have learned you have to go with the name that carries the most clout). Danny - let's talk about this after party - if you can get Lisa to supply the lobsters and margaritas I may be willing to host-(Lisa-I may be able to help you get financing, lobster prices have gone way up!) What do you think Deb?

Roz I too would like to thank you on the choice of Todd Herrmann as greeter. If I could make a suggestion you may want to write a detail itinenary for Herm for the reunion day(i.e. get up, get dressed, show up to reunion) just so he doesn't get overstressed. We are working on the Magnolia Drinking team to help him along on his big Day Also I hear that Debbie Pratt Smith and Linda Aiello Rogers are co- hosting the reunion after party!!! A special thanks to Lisa O'Neil Smith for financing the after party with lobster and open bar!!! You girls are the best!!!

I'm so glad to hear that Todd Herrmann is on the greeting committe. That was an excellent choice Roz! To give you a personal update, last summer I married a wonderful woman named Alama. Now I don't know why Danny is giving Dr. Friedman such a hard time on her last name. Because Alma is such my superior I have chosen to retain her last name. I am hoping Todd will keep this in mind will filling out the name tags. I am no longer Mr. Richard Philpott but Mr. Alma Baez. At the same please do not sit me with those loser boys from Magnolia!!! I prefer to be seated with my female classmates who may be able to advise me on parenting and family values. Also to Tony the DJ, I am becoming a fanatic with ballroom dancing and hope that you may be able to play some of those classic hits from the 1930's and 40's. In closing just want to say Mr. and Mrs. Alma Baez are looking forward to seeing everyone in August!!!
