a place to share
a place to share

                                              memories and stories

the good times, the bad times, favorite memory looking back, the favorite party hangout ... this is the place to share your thoughts with your classmates.  what was the funniest thing that ever happened to you in high school?  who was a good friend and why?  instead of rehashing what is already printed in the yearbook, this is also a place to share something that you never have!  were you a headbanga that secretly loved softrock to fall asleep to?  did you always want to trade in those silver stilletos for brown leather cowboy boots or visa versa?

a legend has recently passed away...  do you remember joe popcorn and his slush truck?  did he not have the best lemon slush this side of the moon?  when he rang that bell in your neighborhood, do you remember chasing after the truck, on a warm summer night.  in his honor, daughter, gina ciarmataro, our classmate and reunion crew member has taken the family business to a new level.  "joe's famous slush " is a part of our history and a piece of americana.  may the legend live on through gina and her nephew frank, in keeping a family and  gloucester tradition alive.  we still live for it gina and we miss your fathers presence on the local scene.   joe was an institution, a classic merchant.  very few people were made for the grocery business.  the slush business was just an extension of his true legacy in how he dealt with people.  many new smaller businesses are popping up here and there, none with have the heart, soul and dedication to it's customers as did joe ciarmataro.
